Impact of prevention strategy on extortion crime

Synopsis

The present study was developed, to evaluate the prevention strategy in the crime of extortion in the town of Kennedy, during the second semester of 2022. A quantitative methodology was used, with a descriptive, non-experimental design. The population was made up of two hundred (200) merchants from the town of Kennedy who are part of the Confecámaras guild, being a probabilistic sampling. The technique used was a survey validated through expert judgments and analyzed with the statistician (SPSS). It was evidenced the efficacy, the security that the merchants feel of the different prevention actions used by this group; in efficiency, the effectiveness of the strategy is recognized and in quality, timely care and immediate intervention is recognized. In conclusion, some vendors consider strengthening intervention days and police presence.
