Synopsis

This project consists of an evaluative proposal of the basic police tactical system within the program of professional technician in police service, as the problem of the adequate use of force by police officers is already known, from the study the different disciplinary views and pedagogical approaches as a learning process; It was necessary to look from different perspectives on the construction of pedagogics of the teaching-learning process in police training. The methodology used was a mixed design with systematic integration of qualitative and quantitative methods that allowed to account for the reality from which the evaluation of the police tactical system is approached in order to construct meanings that coexist in the educational reality that was investigated, oriented to an effort to understand social reality as a historical process of construction seen from the feelings of its protagonists, the population was 221 students from the Simon Bolívar police school and 5 teachers of the basic tactical system subject.

As results, it was possible to identify that the pedagogical practice in terms of the evaluation of learning is not correctly aligned with the institutional pedagogical model, which is oriented to training by competencies. However, it is common for students to be pigeonholed by the grade assigned to them from the quantitative point of view, which generally from the students' words does not reflect their level of knowledge.
