Evaluation of the impact and quality of the training processes of the criminal investigation school in the criminal investigation service
Synopsis
The purpose of this chapter is to evaluate the impact of the training processes of the Criminal Investigation School as a strategy to strengthen the investigation service, since it allows verifying the quality of the training actions. In other words, the training responds to a need that motivates education and contributes to a better professional, personal and institutional development. Likewise, this study is based on an interpretative descriptive research design and includes a triangulation of the participants: graduates, program coordinators and students in training.
The instruments implemented were semi-structured interviews and the Likert scale, which made it possible to strengthen the specific competencies that patrolmen should develop and, thus, make it possible to carry out specific actions regarding the service of judicial investigations. Among the conclusions, it is evident that the study presents a high impact in terms of the need to strengthen the curricular programs, as well as each of the competencies developed in the training processes. This is considered a key factor for organizational and optimal development. Influence measurement devices have become one of the main tools to visualize and demonstrate the effectiveness of training.
