Variables culturales, motivación y su relación con el rendimiento académico. Una revisión sistemática

El rendimiento académico es fundamental a lo largo del desarrollo educativo, en el ámbito de la educación superior se plantea que dicha variable permite que las personas se proyecten laboralmente. El presente estudio es una revisión sistemática y el objetivo es identificar las variables culturales asociadas a la motivación y el rendimiento académico en estudiantes universitarios. Se utilizaron los criterios PRISMA-P para llevar a cabo el proceso de selección de la literatura científica. Se encontraron 483 artículos en las bases de datos Web of Science, SCOPUS, ERIC, Fuente Académica y Scielo. Las variables culturales asociadas a la motivación y rendimiento académico identificadas fueron el colectivismo e individualismo vertical y horizontal; y creencias culturales sobre el rendimiento académico. El individualismo se asoció con la motivación intrínseca, mientras que el colectivismo con la motivación extrínseca. Los resultados se discuten a la luz de los elementos conceptuales contenidos en la investigación.
