Revisión sistemática sobre características metodológicas en el estudio de la violencia de pareja en hombres que tienen sexo con hombres

La violencia en parejas es un fenómeno que representa problemas graves de salud pública y se ha estudiado, sobre todo, en las relaciones heterosexuales; por ende, su estudio es menos frecuente en parejas del mismo sexo. Por ello, esta revisión sistemática sintetiza los aspectos metodológicos y éticos de los estudios sobre violencia en parejas conformadas por gays y hombres que tienen sexo con hombres (HSH), publicados en las últimas dos décadas en el ámbito internacional. Siguiendo la metodología PRISMA se realizó una búsqueda en las bases de datos Scopus, Clarivate, EBSCO, Science Direct, Scielo y LA Referencia; así, de un total de 292 estudios, se incluyeron 17 artículos que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión mediante un proceso de depuración dividida en cuatro fases. Entre los principales resultados predominó el uso del enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental y corte transversal, además de la inclusión de muestras no probabilísticas y no representativas. Asimismo, se hallaron inconsistencias en aspectos éticos sobre investigación psicológica y carencia de instrumentos especializados en parejas del mismo sexo. Se discuten los resultados e implicaciones metodológicas, priorizando la urgencia de futuros estudios enfocados en las necesidades y características propias de esta población.
